You wouldn't have to worry about bugs.But I wonder if it will deter root growth.Basically its shards of fine glass.

Aloe ready to bloom

Kalanchoe Gastonis Bonnieri is one of my favorites also.the nursery that had these is very expensive in the summer season.Thats why I try and wait until they made their money and mark them down.I paid four dollars for both pots.Not bad cosidering I came out with ten plants in all.

That just reasures my thoughts for the spring. It amazed me how fast it grew.So it will become the mommy.Im thinking it would be a good candidate for grafting also.What are your thoughts?

Maybe I should add more info.It has four spines.I found it in March this year and it has grown 28" since then.
