I just wanted to post an update on my Bruuchi. The flower finished opening up today! It's my first cacti to go to flower and I'm so happy!

Re: Help identifying possible stock
Thanks Tony, those Euphorbia keep confusing me. All the ones I have so far bought look like cacti, but turn out to be some type of Euphorbia.

Re: Help identifying possible stock
Thanks so much! I have a gymocalcium scion that has a Hylocerus root stock and I thought that it looked like the one I gave pictured. Hopefully I can get some of them from the nursery before someone else grabs them, then I'll be back here with pictures of what will hopefully be my first graft!

Help identifying possible stock
Hello, This is my second year with Cacti growing and I wanted to try to do some grafting this year. While I have been reading about possible stocks to use for grafting I was never able to find any of the species that people say should be used. I've been looking for Pereskiopsis spathulata or hylocer...

Re: New Cacti
Thank you so much. Is it dangerous for them to be potted together, or do they just grow better by themselves? I have a couple other mixed pots as well that I've had for about 6 months, should I split them out too?

Re: Help my Cinera!
So, that would mean it was overwatered? Would that be characteristic of the species, or should I worry for my other cacti as well? I have not noticed anything wrong with any of my other cacti, but rot takes some time to show symptoms does it not?

Help my Cinera!
I was looking at my plants this morning, and noticed my Copiapoa Cinera was off color. On closer inspection it was soft on one side, and there was a whitish film in between the ribs. It is soft and mushy to the touch, but only on one side. I am in Buffalo, and the temperature drops low at night, but...

ID and Question
So, I got this succulent over the summer, it was marketed as a Haworthia. Can anyone confirm that? Also, it recently started growing a huge bud, is that normal for this type of succulent? I ask that because there were some small plants in the pot with it when I got it. While I tried to weed most of ...
