Euphorbia fortuita seedlingsEuphorbia fortuita seedlings
My Euphorbia fortuita just germinated but they are really tall and leaning - guess I should have planted them deeper? They were tiny seeds so I didn't want to cover them too much.
Should I sterilize some coarse sand and use it to support them, or just let them be in their baggies?

Re: Some seed advice
Thanks for the advise! If they are going to be in for 3-6m I will sterilize the soil then.

Some seed advice
I just got my seeds from Mesa and I am ready to sow. I plan on using a heating mat, placing them in baggies and surface sowing. I've never sterilized soil before so I am not sure which species may need it. In the past I just would treat every seed the same, but as I learn I realize I'll kill less by...

Adenium seed
I decided to try out growing adenium this year since I love my mature desert rose I have had for years. I jumped the gun and ordered some seed. They arrived today and I just now realized I need an 80-90 degree environment for germination. Thats what I get for being excited and ordering early without...

Just went to cactusart.com to look at pics of the two suggestions. It is definatly closer to S. grandiflora. The flowers are no where the size of S. gigantea. Now I know a bit more about the plant. I was planning on repotting it this year so I know what mix to use. I also want to take some cuttings ...

Question about pots
This year I am ordering from Mesa Gardens and getting a ton of seed. I normally only start a packet a year so I am trying to plan on the large scale now. My question is, where do you all get the square pots used to start the seeds, what size are they? And what is a good price for them? This will als...

I've had this guy for awhile (since 2001), I got it as a gift. Anyway, it bloomed for the first time this year in July. Anyone have any guesses as to what it is? I want to learn how to care for it better - and it has become my favorite succulent. Getting ready to bloom: http://www.cactiguide.com/for...

I saw the Agave on Ebay and just had to have it, it and the other are my first agaves so I'm pr...
