i live in Manitoba so the warm season here isnt so long. but i always wait until the last minute to bring in my collection of cacti and succulents. Im talking left them out in 30 F (-1C) which is the overnight temps around the middle of september here. there is only one part of my collection i leave...

i use premier "HP" peat moss 50% with 50% sand when i bring my collection inside for my very cold manitoba winters.... they seem to be just fine..... i guess that drainage is key to these cute little guys... good luck.

i have found that if you bring them inside and put them under a florescent light, they will bloom. be sure to give them a tiny tiny tiny little bit of water as well but really, just a little tiny amount of water like no more than a couple of tablespoons for the whole pot.

mine is doing great.... it starting getting its flower stock about 4 or 5 days ago... it also has 3 pups that i can see off hand.....

one leaf head is very interesting.... my lithops came out of dormancy the last week of june. i thought it was toast! now one of them has two pairs of new leaves and the other has just one pair....

it is rounded at the bases of both in that pot. they each have 4 inch diameters.should i be separating the two in to their own pots? they are each roughly the height of two paper towel rolls stacked. a very good steal for $8......
