I hope it's two, but I'll be re-potting them all next weekend, so I guess I'll find out then.
Thanks again, Majcka!

Re: Help me identify 6 new succulents!?
Thanks you two, that looks spot on with the Euphorbia. By the way, both pictures are of the same plant, but in picture 6 are there two separate plants, or just one?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Help me identify 6 new succulents!?
Today I was kindly gifted 6 new succulents, 4 of which (I think) are cacti and two are probably succulents. But I'm an absolute beginner and have trouble identifying them, and would like to know how to best look after them (individual light requirements, watering etc. especially with the succulents!...

Re: Mug Shots -Wonder who you're talking to?
I'm relatively new here, but thought I'd put a face to the name anyway. Here's a picture of me whilst snooping around a ruin hidden in the country-side near my house

Re: Help requested in ID-ing many cacti
I'm not sure what they are (sorry) but I have a plant identical to the first, so I'm hoping someone can correctly identify that!

Re: Please Help Idenitfy My Plant
I actually bought it/saved it from Wilkinson Dan haha. But thanks for all of the advice, I guess it'll just have to remain a relative mystery unless it flowers, which I doubt will be anytime in the near future.

Re: Please Help Idenitfy My Plant
Thanks Daiv, any possible guesses/suggestions on species? Someone else mentioned Haageocereus, but aren't they very rare?

Re: Please Help Idenitfy My Plant
Thank you, that does look similar. Though it's incredibly hard to judge as it's such a young plant.

Please Help Idenitfy My Plant
I've finally re-potted all of my adopted cacti into a soil with better drainage, but I wanted to label all of the pots and still have no idea what this is:
Thanks in advance.
There was a suggestion before that it was either a Haageocereus or a Cleistocactus? Thanks in advance.

Re: What should I do?!
Thanks a lot for the information! I'll have a look at the roots when I'm re-potting it, how long would I need to leave a cutting to dry out before re-potting it?

Re: What should I do?!
Thanks Bruno, I'm working on the potting mix, just waiting on a delivery! How will I be able to tell if the roots are rotting/in a bad way? And it's on a south-facing window, getting plenty of sun and good circulation of air.

What should I do?!
I'm an absolute beginner at growing cacti, but this one I've recently inherited seems rather unhealthy. There is a long brown mark on one side (picture 1) I wondered whether this could be a scar? And then white marks on the other side, and a brown/whiteness at the bottom (pic' 2&3). I'm not sure...

Re: New cacti owner, help me ID my plants please!?
On the first one - the spot in the middle would worry me more than the bottom, but I can't quite tell for sure. I think you will get into trouble sooner than later with that rich soggy soil. Need to get some gravely stuff that drains fast. Also be sure the water drains out away from the bottom of t...

Re: New cacti owner, help me ID my plants please!?
My general guesses are: 1) Cereus 2) Mammillaria 3) Ferocactus 4) Echinocereus get-that-thing-some-sun-immediatelyi 5) ?? Thank you so much, they all seem to match when I've searched on here. As for species, could the Cereus possibly be a Repandus? The Ferocactus an Emoryi? And the Echinocereus a B...

Re: New cacti owner, help me ID my plants please!?
A, I don't know, but it looks like corking, something that comes with age,not rot (unless it's brown and mushy) B, Mammillaria? C, Ferocactus? D, another Ferocactus? (needs a bit more sun) I'm sure other people will help a bit more as I'm not-so-good at identifying cacti. Thanks a lot for the help e...
