Re: Mammillaria ID Assistance

I see many similarities to M. melanocentra...but, I don't see much referring to it as a clumper. Are there clones that do mound like the plant in question?

Mammillaria ID Assistance

I've tried to ID this Mammillaria recently...thoughts if M. canelensis, M. wagneriana...but, none seem to fit quite right.

Anyone able to assist?

Thanks in advance for any info!

Re: Cleistocactus brookeae

Joel's (Cactus Adventures) " C. brookeae " is referable to the sometimes-considered-it's-own-species Cleistocactus vulpis-cauda ; so, where you can get seeds depends on your taxonomy! :) Other places the vulpes-cauda taxon is available in Europe include: rarepalmseeds.com, Kakteen Haage, and Koehres...

Re: Looking for specfic seeds

If the seeds made it to NY all the way from AZ, and NY is often the launching point for mail to foreign countries (esp those in Europe), it may not actually have been the USPS that dropped the ball. Suffice it to say, if you first claim you don't want the seeds from the US because you aren't going t...

Re: Looking for specfic seeds

Interesting. In my many years of shipping to other countries, I've never had anyone not receive their seeds or plants.
As you wish.

Rauhocereus or not Rauhocereus?

I've been growing the following plant for years, and based on comparison with others of this species, photos, and descriptions, it is definitely correctly identified as Rauhocereus riosaniensis: 23476568_10214932906781000_604524275_n.jpg A couple of years ago, I purchased this plant on eBay from a r...

Someday I'd love to grow Brasilicereus markgrafii & all the species of Leptocereus. Pipe Dreams, no doubt. :)

Re: Cleistocactus I'd please

My plant I obtained from Europe several years ago as "Cleistocactus brookeae", which I knew at the time it clearly was NOT...and it was only 10" tall. Once in ground, it shot up quickly and like yours is over 8ft tall. Last summer we had very intense sun very fast in early summer, and the growing ti...
