I will probably go back and see about that. At least the tops. The tops are pretty hardened off.tumamoc wrote:If you want a prickly pear tree, perhaps they will let you dig up the stump.

Re: I will be filing murder chargers ASAP!
I can't figure it out either. Just left it there. The lady gave me some pads several years ago so I already have some of this guy growing in my garden. If I had the room I would take ever last bit laying there.

I will be filing murder chargers ASAP!
The cactus plants that inspired me to grow cactus in the first place and collect fruits are no longer the beauty they once were. I don't know if this restaurant is closing or what happened all I know is they butchered them. I DID like to visit and admire these giants once in while. They make the nic...

Cereus forbessi ' Ming Thing ' pretty sure it is not ' Mini ' or peruvianus. I needed I can show side by side since I have about 6 different form and several different species of monstrose Cereus.

Re: Two Opuntia and one ???
" If O. ficus-indica is of hybrid origin, it is conceivable that the hybridization was human facilitated. This may have occurred indirectly, by bringing allopatric ancestors into cultivated sympatry. One intriguing possibility is that hybridization of ancestral O. ficus-indica stock was instead...

Re: Two Opuntia and one ???
This lexicon seems to be based on very old outdated information. http://www.amjbot.org/content/91/11/1915 .full gives far better information based on facts. Also archaeological evidence has given light into the people who hybridized the Opuntia ficus indica and how it help those societies. How is it...

Re: Any idea what these are?
I have done a bit more looking around and think I might have found what it is. After looking through pictures of flowers I think it would be Echinopsis eyriesii, I cant remember exactly what the flower looked like but I'm pretty sure it looked very similar (if not identical) to that species flower....

Re: Two Opuntia and one ???
Today it is known that Opuntia paraguayensis or better Opuntia bonaerensis, is a form of Opuntia ficus-indica. Its flower can be seen here: http://fotocactusjb.blogspot.com.es/2013/07/opuntia-elata.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I agree with Martenfisher that the numb...

Re: Any idea what these are?
I could be way off on this guess but it looks like a Lobivia x Echinopsis hybrid. Lobivia now is lumped into Echinopsis.

Re: Any idea what these are?
Look like Echinopsis hybrid seedlings to me or very small cuttings. I understand hybrid echinopsis seedlings can be a bad deal since many of the seedling will not bloom and it may take years to find out if they do.

Re: Mailing Packages
I use flat rate boxes most of the time. They get there much faster and I like speed. I also like having empty space in the box because it gives me room to throw a couple extras in there for value.
