...the small cladode on the very left side is one from last year that has ceased to get any bigger or grow...

That cactus just looks like it is very comfortable in it's own skin... ...got a beer gut... it was well-earned ... ...just ate a bag of cookies and a quart of ice cream... ya gotta enjoy some of life's pleasures ... ...going to pot in a pot... no worries ... ...kinda reminds my of Lophophora diffusa...
