Rosemarie, Thank you for your post, your words are true ; Gone but not forgotten. I was fortune enough to meet him once and snapped a great image of Jordi that I would like to share. I hope you don't mind.

Re: 1939

I have never had the pleasure of meeting James in person but I feel that I am a lucky one to meet him on some extinct forum. He wrote a fine article on my fathers experiences in WW2 called Unsung Heroes. It brought tears to some of my family member. Not only is a great cactus man, he is a man of man...

Re: mid-winter flowers

James, very nice display, and I'm glad you are seeing signs of spring. That means it won't be long before it hit here too. I hope all is well with you.

Re: Is now a good time to bring'em inside?

If it were me I'd leave them inside. This nice weather could head south any day now. You can start next year and try to keep them outside for as long as possible during our short (northerns) growing season.

Re: Is now a good time to bring'em inside?

I live in Southern Michigan and I used to bring my plants into the basement early as in when the nights would get into the low 50's. Now as in the last 6 to 7 years I have been leaving 90% of my plants outside as long as possible. The gauge I use is when the leaves start to fall off the trees. It is...

BEAUTIFUL. tfs Keep doing what you know, I'm not saying any of this out of any disrespect but... I'm sure you forgot more (about cultivation) than most people eve...
