I took some closer pictures of the cactus in case that will help. #1 http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r26/PrinceSushi/Plants/Rebutia4.png #2 (the one that has flowers and was labeled the same as #1) http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r26/PrinceSushi/Plants/Rebutia5.png #3 Labeled as R.minisula. ht...

Tiny Succulent with Purple Flowers
I've had this for quite awhile now, and it even gave me some nice flowers(3 in total), but I still can't figure out what it is. It was labeled "Aloinopsis rosulata" which I quickly figured out was wrong.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Rebutia
I've got a bunch that I've been trying to figure out, but it's just getting too confusing for me(new to keeping cacti). http://i54.tinypic.com/6533fa.png Ignore the Chamaelobivia. I bought the center one with the name Rebutia narvaecensis, and I believe that is correct. The one with the flowers came...

My two poms would probably get a poke on the nose, and learn to leave the plants alone, but I worry about sharp things around my 3rd dog. http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r26/PrinceSushi/Pets/DSCF2973.png If she goes to sniff a plant, her eyes are only a very short distance from her nose, which is...

Tony - So glad to hear that they will do good in the ground. I might plant a bunch of them, because they are so interesting looking. Do you recommend staying away from agaves due to the tipped leaves and spines, or is there something else I need to be aware of with agave? I was already looking at s...

You can never be too careful. It wouldn't take much to make my small dogs real sick. If I ever want one of the poisonous species I can always keep them in a different area. A felt plant is Kalanchoe beharensis. Just saw them today at a nursery, and they are very beautiful. I'd definitely love one if...

Safe around dogs?
I have a decent sized area I was thinking about landscaping with a desert theme, but my dogs also stay over there, so I need suggestions. I already know to avoid euphorbias, and anything that just looks like it will cover my dogs in thorns, but other than that I don't have a long list, since I'm sti...

Is it really considered a succulent? I swear that stuff seems to grow all over the place in California. I consider it a weed, since it grows like crazy and you can't get rid of it. I should try to get some pictures of all the plants growing in my yard, since I haven't had the time to go around and p...

Growth?
Okay, so I found this fallen leaf a few weeks ago, and didn't bother to toss it, because it has little round things growing out of it. I can't really tell if the little round things have gotten bigger. There are a few other fallen leaves, but this is the only one with growths. Is it growing into ano...

Yeah, it did occur on one side, and slightly on the top within about 2 days, because I just put it outside. It came to me fine, and I don't think spider mights could cause it to change that fast, but please correct me if I'm wrong. I hope it's not scale. I poked them, and scraped at a few, but they ...

Sunburn and orange dots?
Okay, so I'm fairly certain I sunburned some of my cactus. I'm still learning, and of course made the beginners mistake of just sticking them outside. However, there are some weird orange dots on one of my cactus. I'm not sure if they are normal, part of the sunburn or, something much worse like par...

I like your collection. The Tacinga inamoena is beautiful. What sized pot is that? I guess you're lucky to have a respectful rabbit. I haven't see rabbits around my house for awhile, which is probably due to my cats, but just when my mother's hippeastrum was sending out new leaves, a rabbit came alo...
