Puzzled

We found these cacti in extreme southern Arizona. On the right is Coryphantha recurvata. What is that on the left?

Thanks, I'd say the clump was less then 2' across, heads are tennis ball-sized.

Cholla hybrid?

We found some unusual Chollas today at Kofa National Wildlife Refuge, and suspect C. echinocarpa × C. leptocaulis. There were a fair number of these little guys around, none more than about 0.5m tall. C. ramosissima and C. ×deserta were also found in the area. Anyone care to weigh in on this suspect...

Cylindropuntia hybrid?

From the Picacho Mountains near Florence, AZ, we found this bad boy today: http://www.agaveville.org/download/file.php?id=25906 The area is thick with C. acanthocarpa and C. fulgida, and I wonder if this might be a cross. Any opinions? Here is a bloom shot of C. fulgida. Pretty flower... http://www....
