Keeping succulents indoors
I usually put my succulents, mostly haworthias and stapeliads, outdoors this time of year. However, due to a variety of factors such as likely moving in the next several months and poorly supervised neighborhood children I have been reluctant to put them out this year. They are under lights and seem...

Re: Alittle Late Morels..
Nice haul I know they grow around here and I see people trying to discretely look for them in the woods behind my place but I only ever found 1 lol. I don't put much effort into hunting for them though and no doubt the hardcore hunters get to them before I wander along...

Re: Haworthia mirabillis v. badia
Got a picture? Assuming it is not sunburn probably nothing to worry about. Haworthias can turn a range of colors when stressed...To much sun, too little water, change in temp, etc. Haworthias can easily handle temps in the 50's and 60's. Mine are left outside till October when night temps are in the...

Re: Keeping track of your collection?
I tried organizing info and pics in One Note last year but wasn't happy with how it was working. Very possible it was a user problem vs program problem

Keeping track of your collection?
I have the whole summer off and one thing I would really like to do with this time is organize info/data/pictures of my collection. I am kind of at a loss of how to do this but would like to do something that is easy to search and easy to add additional info and pictures to. Does anyone here organiz...

Re: Birds, what about insects?
Looks like it might be a wolf spider. Does its house have a funnel shape? We have some that make their home in our entry way and my son passes a good chunk of the summer feeding them. The green spiders on the opuntia and your car look like they might be lynx spiders.

Re: Birds!
Nice video with a lot of familiar faces. We used to have a TON of Blue Jays but when West Nile came through some years ago it wiped them out. They seem to be making a comeback though

Great pics everyone
Peter I don't know if I would let that spider live in my house for 2+ years but I don't mind the jumpers hanging around.

Thanks Rosemarie! I was thinking sordida but I knew that wasn't right. I was on the right track with the /s/ sound :) I am near Chicago, IL and picked this up the other day at local greenhouse http://www.tedsgreenhouse.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; They are not your r...

Caudiciform type plant
Anyone know what this is? I picked it up today at a local C&S place. The leaves are thick but not succulent and it has fruit developing on the underside of the stem. http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh246/Lintrap/IMG_1166_zps2b63830d.jpg http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh246/Lintrap/IMG_116...
