Mammillaria mainae

Meet my Mammillaria mainae. First flower. Grown from seed. I read that it is a very slow growing species so this is actually grafted on an Echinopsis chamaecereus aka peanut cactus!

Re: ID help please

There first one looks like it could be an Echinofossulocactus crispatus aka Stenocactus crispatus. Not sure about the second one.

Re: Agave Victoria-reginae Help

Thanks for the advice Hendry. I already stripped the plant of the dying brown leaves and the more I cut off the leaves the more brown/dying leaves are appearing!! There is not much left of the plant now :( I will cut off some more leaves and spray one more time. Hopefully I can save the offsets and ...

This is what mine looks like.......

Definately looks much worse off than yours. I think yours might just be suffereing the effects of the hailstorm damage and it will survive!!

Re: Agave Victoria-reginae Help

Same thing is happening to mine!! I do believe it is dying. Mine is sprouting out a bunch of babies so I am trying to save those and start a new plant. Sad since it is one of the first succulents I started out my collection with. I will share pictures with you tomorrow.

Sure - just send me a PM with your details and I will mail them to you! I have a bunch of seed left over I think they should still be viable seed.

I find it a little bit difficult lining up the vascular rings - especially with seedling so tiny. It seems like it is a guessing game - either a hit or miss. But don't give up!!

Adenium obesum seedlings

My first successful attempt growing Desert Rose from seeds. I used the baggy method. Germination was very quick - within 2 days most of the seeds had sprouted. They are now out of the bags and growing nicely :D http://i813.photobucket.com/albums/zz51/LauraD_photos/DSCN0243.jpg http://i813.photobucke...
