Thanks for all the great info, DustBunny! I wiil repot it this weekend per your instructions. It can get very humid here in the summer. Do you think that would hurt the plant?

Does the Gasteria have a dormant season? Is it a summer or winter grower? I'm in the mid-Atlantic so I get all four seasons. Thanks!

Yes there are little bumps all over it. I take it 'Little Warty' is the only one listed that is covered in little bumps. So 'little Warty' it is! Thanks!

I agree with both peterb and Saxicola. As someone who loves the natural beauty of cacti and succulents I think they look dreadful. But at least you can take that junk off without damaging the plant unlike those strawflowers. As someone who is limited to big box store buying I truly hate those things...

Gasteria, Aloe, Gasteraloe?
I purchased this succulent this afternoon at Walmart and I'm not sure what it really is. It seems to me that it has characteristics of both a Gasteria and an Aloe. A confirmation would be great.
