Re: 30 Cacti delivered

I am often asked by MrsC to donate a plant to a charity raffle or as a gift to a friend - it is usually a Lophophora williamsii or Encephalocarpus strobiliformis - my two most prolific species for reproducing on their own..

Re: When do Astrophytum myriostigma settle on rib #

You are probably right - it has just grown so much since its last repot - it is on my list for this autumn - when it cools down a bit.

Re: Are these healthy?

Agreed, and I just put cantharis on my ignore list. Joined the forum in 2009, posted nothing for years, then comes back from out of nowhere exhibiting the good manners and social grace of a sledgehammer. People who aim a cutting attitude at others deserve to be ignored. Et tu, Brute !! And not sure...

Re: Are these healthy?

First, I would like to say, that is not a beer can. That is a candy tin, Wow a candy tin - sooo MUCH better !!!! I never said better, I just said that it was not a beer can, which it is not. Re: What kind of cactus please

Euphorbia canariensis is my best guess. No actually a cactus - spiny succulent originating from the Canary Islands.

Re: Growing another head !!

I bought the plant as a single small seedling in 1999. It first flowered in 2001, on the back seat of my car, en route from the UK to Spain - obviously had never read that L. williamsii is illegal in France (neither had I, at the time!).
