Does anyone use this method to grow cactus?
Does anyone use this method to grow cactus? I saw many people in some places, such as German forums, and in the Czech Republic, planting cacti plants on porous stones to create a landscape. It looks very chic. And the plants grow very healthy. I want to ask, does anyone here use this method? 360截图20...

Re: Some of my cacti
Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus in the picture was sown more than ten years ago, probably in the autumn of 2011.
Now the growth is not very big, I put a small ruler for reference.

Re: Some of my cacti
I just joined this forum and found it a good place for cactus lovers. I'm not very good at using many functions of the forum. I am learning. Especially in terms of sending pictures, I tried many times before I succeeded. I also tried to sow some of these slow plants, and now they seem to grow well....

It seems that you have been harmed by red spiders. I suggest you spray it with fungicide, and then put it in the sun. Maybe we can recover.

Did you try rooting Yavia? i did! I will post an update soon, but for now I can say they rooted. Whether they'll come back in the spring after a dry winter is yet to be seen. I'm also looking forward to this update. There are very few plants of this variety. I got several grafted plants this ...

Re: Obregonia advice
It looks like a root mealybug. It should not have caused much damage to plants. So far. However, the soil in your flowerpot is useless. I suggest that you completely replace it. Then the root of the plant must be thoroughly cleaned and allowed to dry for a period of time before being replanted into ...

Re: When to water astrophytum like adults?
The saplings of cactus family should not be short of water in the first year. Until it grows up. When its body can store enough water. Water can be cut off in winter and summer.
This is just my personal idea.

Re: Some of my cacti
It was sown in the spring of 2021. It is less than two years now. I planted this variety for the first time, but I haven't found any relevant information. They seem to grow slowly and are not the same size.
