Echinopsis peruviana KK242
Sold to me as T. Peruvianus KK242 http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpix/1805_kk242_close_up_1.jpg You can see the new growth to the left, this is less than six months of growth. African succulent I think cannot remember name
Does anyone know? Purchases from Rella at Simply Succulents in Fort Bragg, CA. The close up shows how it will ball up in the heat of summer. This picture is after flowering but before the heat closes them down completely. http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpix/1805_identify_close_up_1.jpg This is i...

A little late posting these. Pictures were taken in early June of 2011. Since I last posted the cuttings I was rooting finally put out roots and are growing very well (no pictures of them yet). I think I am going to find a slightly less sunny place for the mother as it appears the rooted cuttings ar...

Hi Everyone, I have not disappeared, just well... life kicked into hi gear for awhile and I have not had time to get back to the forum much. I must have marked this topic to notify back when I originally posted as I was recently notified via email. Glad I did that actually... Tony your cuttings are ...

I have had good success with clonex for specific purposes like getting roots from a large cutting that stalled or getting roots to start in fall or winter to get a jump start on spring growth. Recently I came across some info. that honey was an excellent rooting compound and I intend to try it soon....

This is curious indeed, I have the exact same plant and originally I would have said Sedum rubrotinctum also. I have no real basis for this other than I ordered a sedum pack awhile back and one of the sedum included looks just like this one. So I checked my order and of the seven in the collection (...

I have a young one that I left outside last year protected from frost but not air temp., it froze on the tip last winter. I am in zone 9 now sometimes considered 10 it seems. I saw temps. last winter into the mid 20's Fahrenheit. I just checked -6C = 21F. So I would guess it will get tip damage. Min...

Echinocereus multiple cuttings from one stem?
I started seriously thinking last night about propagating the E. Pentalophus and I am wondering if I can make multiple cuttings from one stem. A few of the older stems are up to 16" long and I was thinking I might get 2-6 cuttings from one depending on length of cutting. Any suggestions for a g...

I am happy to share and glad everyone enjoyed the photos. On the name White Dove that is how it was sold to me. I think it was given that name by the person who bred it; whose name escapes me. If I recall correctly (and I am still looking for the info that came with it), this was bred specifically f...

Echinocereus Pentalophus "White Dove"
This is the only echinocereus I own and I have only had it for a little over a year. I watched it form flowers for well over a month but the majority of the growth occurred in the last week. It is a mean little sucker but oh so beautiful. http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpix/1805_echinocereus_pen...

Very nice! The Jasminocereus has some similarities to my Noid #1...wonder if it's in the same genus? Have you looked at Trichocereus Vasquezii or I guess Echinopsis Vasquezii now? It is the red corona like effect that really grabs me. I purchased one recently and your Noid #1 looks very similar to ...
