Nope, I've never been in the Clinton, OK, area. Looks nice from your photos! I'll have to check out that part of the state at some point!

Re: Greetings from Southwest Oklahoma!
Welcome to the forum from John in Fort Worth, TX! It looks like you live in a very pretty area with some good cacti habitat around you! If you don't mind me asking, where about are you in S.W. Ok? I ask because the habitat looks pretty similar to much of the N.W. areas of Texas. I have gone on quite...

Re: Interesting and scary development.
I haven't been keeping up with this topic much, but I just read what you said, snowfella. That's insane! Did it become law? What's wrong with governments and politics?! (A lot, I know. There's no need to answer that question for me) Sounds like the U.S. (passing broad, vague laws without adeq...

Contest 82: Voting Page
While Leaflike /Epiphytic Cacti are not the usual plant that comes to mind when thinking about cacti, I figured it would be slightly more popular as a contest theme. Oh well. They certainly are an interesting group of cacti! Now, which photo should win? To view all the submissions, Click Here Deadli...

Re: Sedum 'Autumn Joy' . . . (08-28-2013)
I noticed a neighbor's flowering today. I really like the flowers, but the rest of the year it is just there. That's probably why I haven't gotten one yet.

Nice one! Those are actually pretty common landscape plants here. Come to think of it though, I have never considered getting one Maybe I should!

Re: John C's 2013 Topic
Very nice Astro flower! I like that kinda flat-looking asterias? to the top right, how old is it? Top right of the middle photo I assume? (The plant in the very far, rear corner of my table) I'm not sure of its age. I have had it for about two years and it was pretty large before then. It is not ac...

Re: The ROUND ROBIN BOX IN IN THE MAIL!!
I have to admit that I try to label everything, but sometimes it is about the plant and not the name of the plant. I also figure I could post a picture and Have some of the experts on this forum ID them for me. Have fun. I did not consider the cost of postage. The USPS does calculate weight and dis...

Re: The ROUND ROBIN BOX IN IN THE MAIL!!
Glad you got it. It was only going to be about $20 to ship regular mail, but I wanted it to get there quickly for you so I went with priority. It was pretty high, but I got some nice plants out of it, so I was fine with it.

Re: The ROUND ROBIN BOX IN IN THE MAIL!!
I just wanted to give a little bit of history to go with the Agave offset I included in the box because I think some of you may find it interesting. The agave I put in the round robin box is Agave parryi var. huachucensis. The original plant in California can be seen in the follow two links: http://...
