Re: why do online seller list sold out cactus
I'm surprised anybody sends out a list anymore. Seems like a big waste of time and money.

Re: why do online seller list sold out cactus
I kind of imagine that low margin, specialized sales like cacti may not worry about having the latest Oracle software or whatever. Do you think they have an IT department at their facility? Head on over to the Shake Shack on Santa Monica Blvd and chill awhile as you go through the listings and enjoy...

Re: i think i am addicted
Steve. it is going to get worse. I am sure I am over 200 pretty easy. And my wife thinks most all of my cactus are 5 or 6 dollars!! When she sees me walk in with a cactus, my standard line is: " I saw it up at (name a place), and it was only 5 bucks so what the heck, I brought it home." I ...

Re: Tips on avoiding sunburn
May I ask? Did you take out the middle cushion of your outdoor sofa and make a spot to fit more plants? If so, that is awesome. Possibly another sign of addiction. Or was it made that way?

Re: i think i am addicted
HaHa. My wife is always asking me "Why are there rocks everywhere? Get the rocks off of the kitchen table!" I'm going to repot one later tonight. I'm sure I will hear about it. I was showing my wife my Echinomastus laui sometime back and was telling her how I thought the spines were gorgeo...

Re: i think i am addicted
I started with a couple of succulents, and then decided I like cacti better. Gave the succulents to my wife. Found out packaged cactus soil is no good, and started bringing home pumice from different sources. Chicken grit, but hated the size and color. Picked up some sieves off of Amazon. Got a diff...

Received my shipping notice from Mesa already. Great news. I have been very happy with the cactus I have received from there in the past.

Re: Any Epithelantha experts in the house?
I've got 5 or 6 different types of Epithelantha and I know I shouldn't say it but they are all still around. I'm sure that will jinx it now though. I've watered them every 10 days to 2 weeks in the summer. I will take pics of mine tomorrow. I have some plants in 2.5 inch tall clay pots in pumice and...
