Re: This made my morning!

OMG I just watched the videos this post is about... I truly hope people on the youtube are not cutting little red balls to root... As for the soil mix, I really dont want to badmouth ones mix, but wow that's a lot of fine sand and peat. Im sure many can attest that anyones particular soil mix is usu...

Thanks guys, Peter more than likely the rifle you fired was this same one. They had other varients of this rifle in the war such as the carbine version-m44. Just a shorter version of the 91/30. The iron sights on this badboy are adjustable out too 2,000 meters. Not that a 2k meter shot is feaseable ...

Thanks everyone! Daiv, I think a grand show is perfect for this type of cactus, one night of bloom then they are spent. but for a cactus which its blooms last a few day I'd rather a few at a time. As for the aroma of this show, wow! as soon as the sun came up the bee's and other bugs swarmed them. I...

A piece of WWII history.

I am somewhat of a military history nerd, and I finaly had to bite on this historic Russian WWII rifle. It is a 1942 wartime production Mosin Nagant 91/30, chambered in 7.62x54r. I couldnt pass up the deal on this piece of history, I got the rifle, bayonet, sling, and two period ammo puches for $85....

I too agree with all that has been said. I myself, tend to stick with a couple known sellers that have ebay stores. I have always been weary of buying a plant from a ebay member who has 90 listings for automotive parts and one cactus plant listing. Not to say that the plant might be bogus, but I jus...

Thanks for all the info all! When I said KIDS, I should have been alittle more specific. I meant teenagers looking to get a high. Its sad but these teens will do anything to get a buzz. So that is what my boss was worried about, not atctual children. There ended up being so many out along this road ...

Mushrooms

Never seen these fellas growing in FL before, and am actually quite surprised to see any mushrooms growing as it has been cool. Our boss got paranoid that kids would eat them thinking they were magic ones and had us weed eat them all down. Anyone know the name? http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpi...

Citrus plant question

My question is can I take seed from an orange, tangerine, grapefuit and plant it and have it grow into a fruit bearing tree? I think i was told one time that it has to be grafted or whatnot in order to get fruit. Any citrus experts out there????

Ahh pretty Turb! Looks like it loves its new home :D As for this bumm weather.... It seems to get to freezing more often here than where you are even though I'm not that far away. All plants I had in the ground couldnt handle the 7 days of below freezing night/mornings we had in arow in Dec. They we...

Thanks everyone! From what I remember these are self fertile so lets see if they fruit on the first set of bloom.

Harriet the Turb is from Miles2go. I did manage to get some seed from it a lil bit ago and the only survivors from the sowing are 2 grafts (wich are stuggling :( )
