And facebook is so time consuming too! I've had this cactus for around 20 years, it has just bloomed f...

Weber grills rock! We have a Weber grill farm. Lime Performer, Smokey Joe on steroids, and a WSM with guru eyelets. But, I've never tried to heat up our cacti dirt on it before. :D

Fero? What kind?

This big ol' cactus has never bloomed for me in the 6+ years that I've had it. But, then again, this past winter was the first time I knew to let them be dry...as dry as possible outside here anyway. http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpix/1436_DSC00993a_1.jpg http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpix...

Good idea! The hubby can make me a pond! We've talked about the idea before for fish, but I could probably talk him into it now that he's diggin' the new turtle so much.

That would be cool Daiv! Maybe in the future we will too! But, neither of us has had one before, so we really didn't know what we were getting into. I just know the hassle of having aquariums, and that would be the hubbys job to clean it out.

Ended up being a pet store. The adoption/rescue places only had the ones that grow really big, and aquatic turtles/tortoises...we wanted a land one with the cute feet.

Thanks for the inspiration by showing your little bitty turtle to make me go get one.

After taking a tortoisely correct measurement, his shell is 4.25 inches. The first time I just measured over his back. The adoption/rescue places only had turtles/tortoises that grow really big or aquatic turtles/tortoises. We wanted a land one, with the cute dinosaur lookin' feet. After vis...
