Thanks Ian The key to using as watering schedule is all about using the right soil and pot for the plant, water guzzlers like Echinopsis can have a big pot and rich soil, Epithalanthas need lean soil and small pots. We use alot of top dressing, you just get used to it after awhile. We use it mostly for sale plants. For sensitive plants, I like to leave the soil bare for a couple months, then top dress, after the soil has had some wet-dry cycles.
