I should note that this may well be several in a pot rather than a clump - this particular supplier has a habit of that.

What do I have here then?

It has upside down hooks, ie the centrals curve up, not down :?:

Ah, thanks that makes sense. Looks to be half way between T valdezianus and M leuthyi.
Sorry about the size of the images, I guess I should resize them.
Anything particularly tricky with this one?

Looking good! May I ask, what is the one directly in back of the second Parodia pic? I have one that looks just like it, but yours has a label in it! : ) The one direcly behind the Parodia ( ie mostly hidden by it) is Echinocereus triglochidiatus var. mojavensis f. inermis Which uses quite a lot of...

Did you water it? that's probably where you went wrong as you should know by now that cactus grow in sand and don't need water.

I think it was an excellent subject - it's just not many are going to dig up their plants for it - maybe if we'd had more warning....... :D

re-root a gymno?

This gymno seems to have lost its roots and has now rather lost its green colour. As you can see it's valiantly pushing out buds. What can I do to get it to re-root? Root loss due to orignal grower growing in peat and me being a bit rough with re-potting  http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee2...
