Re: Six sided Crassula 'Springtime'?
I had a few days off and when I came back it was gone. Looking back at the pictures, it appears to be splitting into two four sided heads anyway. I'm going to keep my eye on them in the future to see if there are any more. I suspect if it was a stable six sided form it came from a six sided parent p...

Re: My plant tables
Shane, we're approaching nearly a year later with your homemade tables. How have the held up to a years worth of plants and the surrounding environment? Are they exposed to viewers? I had built some tables like this at my residential property a few years back and had people taking home cacti they l...

Re: Ferocactus Dormancy Artificial Temperature?
I see the problem now. There are plenty of ways to make heat but at $0.33 per kilowatt hour they get pretty expensive Putting plants in a container like a fish tank or shelf wrapped in bubble wrap would reduce heating costs. That way instead of needing to heat your entire garage you'll just be heati...

Re: Ferocactus Dormancy Artificial Temperature?
Have you tried a space heater? If you want more control of the temperature you could get a thermostat and plug it into that

Six sided Crassula 'Springtime'?
I found what I think is a 6 sided Crassula 'Springtime' where I work. The normal number of sides is 4. Any opinions about whether it'll be stable or revert to its more normal form? I did a bit of research and I can't find any other 6 sided Springtimes. But there is a 6 sided form of C. 'Moonglow', a...

Tebuconazole concentration for soil drench (for potted plants)
Does anyone have a recommended concentration for doing a tebuconazole soil soak for potted plants? Specifically cacti though I'm not sure that matters too much. Or recommended amount of tebuconazole by plant size?

Re: If i graft dragon fruit on A.tetragonus what will be pro & cons
Dragonfruit grows well for me so I have never grafted it onto anything. Does it grow well in your climate? If so, you won't really get much benefit from grafting it. It can be easily propagated via grafting. Someone on here has grafted areoles to Pereskiopsis and gotten good results. I can't remembe...

Some Bromeliads
A few of my Bromeliads are starting to flower this spring and I wanted to share. The first is Tillandsia caput-medusae. The second one was I have no idea on, not even for a genus. Excited to see what the flower looks like

Soil for Albuca bracteata
I was wondering if anyone has a soil recommendation for Albuca bracteata. I planted a few small ones in my succulent soil a while ago and am wondering if that was the right call or if I should use normal potting soil. I gave a couple to my friend as well and theirs seemed to do better than mine for ...

Re: How dark is too dark for cacti dormancy?
I don't think keeping cacti in darkness when dormant is a good idea. I tried keeping mine in shade this winter and many died. I think cacti not needing anything when they're dormant is a myth. If you do try it, make sure to do it with plants you don't mind losing

Re: Looking for an alternative to Google Chrome mobile
I found a chrome clone called kiwi. I was able to install an extension that keeps photos and videos from loading if I choose. It still does have the poorly placed close all tabs button but I don't know that there's anything better out there
