Peter, do you know in which journal Martin Terry is planning on publishing his results? I think I saw Haseltonia mentioned somewhere but am not certain.

Thanks Peter. It would be interesting with a human/non-automatic translation, though (I assmume the information is from this site ... just in case a native Czech speaker reads the thread ;-) ). If I read this correctly, it says no chemical analysis has been made yet, but based on the relationship to...

The new species is described as having little mescaline but having pellotine. The description in the Cactus & Co article states that L. alberto-vojtechii probably belongs in the Diffusae section (along with L. diffusa, fricii, and koehresii) but I can't find any direct mention of the chemical c...

It might be a bit nerdy but I also like the Botanicus Digital Library . They have loads of historic botanical literature available for download including gems like Lemaire's Iconographie descriptive des cactees (be sure to check out the illustrations) and Coulter's description of the (then) new genu...

You can download several older works from the Cactuspro Digital Library - including a complete copy of the original edition of The Cactaceae: Descriptions and Illustrations of Plants of the Cactus Family by Britton and Rose (1919-1923, many color plates). ... I just noticed the buzz about cactuspro ...

The actual picture I was talking about was Lophaphora's pic. With out the fancy editing that was probably only 1/3 as cool as it now looks. I very much enjoy the picture, but I don't think it can be judged on the same level as the non enhanced pictures. I'm afraid I have to disappoint you - that ph...
