Is something wrong with this mammillaria?
Hi. I recently changed the soil of this cactus with a perlite mixture. After removing it from the old soil, I notice this discoloration. Is this normal or is there something to be done to avoid this? Thank you!

Can I still save this cactus?
Hi. I recently purchased perlite and decided to change the soil in cacti. When I removed the soil, I saw this. Can I still save my cactus? The bottom picture shows some sort of sprouting. I already re-planted the cactus using the perlite mixture but I'm still worried. Thank you.

Re: How to make my echeveria healthy?
Thank you elieestephane. This is very helpful. I will soon be using another soil mix with perlite. Is it still OK to water it every week or should I make it more frequent?

Thank you, Spence. I also read somewhere that this could be echinocereus pectinatus.

Re-potting Again
Hi. I bought 4 cacti last July 8, 2017 and re-potted them last July 24, 2017. However, I was not able to purchase perlite then and was not able to mix it in the soil. Would it be safe if I remove the cacti from the pots, remove the soil form the roots and replace with a new mixture with perlite? I w...

Cactus Propagation
Hi. I will be trying to propagate my very etiolated cactus. However, I was wondering if the mother plant will be okay after I cut the thinner long parts? I don't want it to be wasted. Thank you!

Cactus ID please (03)
Hi. I am still new to cactus care and still struggling to identify one. I want to know how to properly care for my cacti and I guess it should start with identification first. Based on my limited research, I think this is chamaelobivia, is it? This one is very etiolated and I already transferred it ...
