Hence some are inclined to refer to them all as Cereus peruvianus without a second thought.
Perhaps 'Cereus domesticus' or C.urbanianus are more apt.

i have seen small myrtillocactus geometrizans and harrisia jusbertii cuttings for use as grafting stocks rooted in water successfully so it surprisingly can be done. from memory it must be done in the peak of summer so the water is warm and a callous must be allowed to form beforehand, and the cutti...
