Cool! I did end up trying this one, it survived winter just fine but melted about halfway through the spring. One day I might try it again, maybe try making a little crevice type spot for it to grow.

Hahaha I'm not so much concerned about it falling off as I am about me knocking the plant over and breaking it off (yay klutziness!). Don't worry about the picture, I trust you.

Pretending that space isn't an issue I'd go epiphyllum all the way. I love the ridiculously sprawling growth on them! Even without flowers they're still among my favorite plants

heck even if you repot it you still run the risk for bugs, there are plenty that live on the surface of the plant. I always douse mine with insecticidal soap once or twice before I bring them in and again about a week after they've been inside.
