Well, I don't think I'm going to return to those exact patches (they're in the middle of some really rough parts of town) BUT it gave me even more reason to make an all day trip to the dunes. If there are patches that big growing on the roadside I'd have to imagine there should be some pretty nice o...

Railside Cacti

Dorstenia foetida

Ok I know this is a succulent and not a cactus but there was no "succulent care" section so I figured this was the right place. Anyways. I got a Dorstenia foetida from my old job before I moved and I was wondering if any of you guys have any experience with these. I'm mostly wondering if t...

Are those black square pots from Linder's in St. Paul? They look awfully familar. As for the actual topic of conversation, I have no idea what species that is I just know that I use it in my summer succulent planters every year and it grows about a foot in 4 months outside. They're pretty great.

haha, my Dunn County Wis strain of O. fragilis certainly tried to take over the world...until it shattered into a hundred minuscule pads. That just means hopefully a hundred new plants I guess!

I think my heart stopped when I saw the picture of the lobivia stern von lorsch (and everything else in that post for that matter). Wow. Also, I'm not sure I've ever seen an Ariocarpus bloom before so that was pretty neat to see too!
