Unknown globular

Hi, please help me identify this cactus. I had grown it from seed, but cannot find the name. Its height is about three centimeters, 8 years old. No flower yet, I am sorry.

Thanks a lot.

Re: Rebutia some sort of

Thanks CactusMad, I corrected the image link. Funny though that I could see the pics in the preview, and then in the post too, but only on this machine.

Re: Cactus ID please

My guess is Selenicereus grandiflorus. I miss crampons from it though.

Hi, please help identify this plant. My guess is Rebutia minuscula, but I am not a Rebutia expert at all. Thanks

Re: Cactus ID

Hi,

I have the same cactus also about ten years old (not juveline!) without flowers. It was identified in the forum as Echinopsis huascha. It is definitly not chamacereus, that species is much smaller.

Re: Yet another columnar from Majorelle

Daiv,

This is all I can do. I could not see the details to judge. I would be happy to go back though :D but it is another continent.

Majorelle Garden, Marrakech, Morocco

I spent two wonderful weeks in Morocco this Summer (2012). While visiting the former capital city of Morocco, our host, a charming lady draw our attention to a nice place what she called a green oasis in the desert of the city to have a rest. First we thought it is just a formula that sounds good fo...

Re: Yet another columnar from Majorelle

Yes, you are right, I can see some dried stems of flowers on the left side. But still no real fruits which can identify the species.

Yet another columnar from Majorelle

Hi,

Please help me with this last request from Majorelle Garden, Marrakech, Morocco. It has no flower and fruits like almost all others in the garden. Any idea why?

Thanks a lot.

Re: Thick columnar to id

Thanks guys! Sorry for the missing image it was visible on the preview. Next time I try to be smarter on that. Also, if you do not mind, I post a few more from Majorelle Garden, then I post it to cactus places, so it could be found at one place.

I bet on O. tunicata, bluish skin is a kind of characteristic. Check if it has a papyrus like skin on the spine. Also barb headed spine sticks to your finger when touched. It is so common in cultivation.
