I never seen a timber in the wild but I kept one big male at home and he never bothered to rattle. Same with rattlesnakes I have found in the wild, some are very mellow, didnt make a sound and some just couldn't stop rattle. I heard a theory that some species that are living close by humans or are o...

Any ideas?

I have right now problems with etiolation on several cacti especially the slow growers for ex. Copiapoa. They are kept in room temp, perhaps a little below that, and sun..well I live in Sweden so there is not much of that I;m afraid.
Not sure what to do here.

And some use similar gloves while handling venomous snakes... recipe for disaster. Thanks for posting this. If you don't mind i will share this on reptile forums. I hope it will be an eye-opener for some.

Btw, I use a folded newspaper for "handling" cacti, works great.

Gymnos for example, because they seem to do well despite my non-green fingers ;) And the flowers is not the reason I keep some cacti, I acctually like the look of the plants bette...

The critter is a solfugid and yes camelspiders is a common name, usually for the middle eastern species though.
