Subfamily: Cactoideae
Tribe: Cacteae
Distribution: Jalisco - Mexico (North America)
Habit: Globose
Flower: PinkEncounterability: Extremely Rare
Species Notes: Some taxonomies maintain that M. manana is a synonym of M. fittkaui ssp limonensis. Anderson maintined M. limonensis as a species as does Mammillarias.net.

It seems that there is more info on M. manana than there is for limonensis. The New Cactus Lexicon notes that ssp limonensis is known from only two localities.

It is my guess that one of these locations is M. limonensis and the other is M. manana. I welcome feedback on this idea.

The key difference it seems to me is the color of the central spines.
